Guided by a cosmopolitan couple’s vision, this endeavor breathes new life into the traditional brick facade, infusing it with vibrant colors and timeless elegance.

Embracing Diversity in Design

The eclectic backgrounds of the clients—a Singaporean lawyer with a penchant for tattoos and a Hong Kong strategist rooted in fine arts—set the stage for a harmonious dialogue with the Italian designer. Together, they craft a playful yet serene sanctuary, where joy and sophistication intertwine seamlessly.

Maximizing Natural Light

Preserving the integrity of the original construction, Olbos Studio maintains an open layout in the living area, allowing natural light to flood in from opposing sides of the facade. The result is a heightened sense of space, accentuated by the rare high ceilings characteristic of the townhouse.

Bridging Past and Present

A structural investigation uncovers the need for a new supporting structure, presenting an opportunity for innovative design interventions. Olbos Studio responds with a bespoke floor-to-ceiling bookcase, crafted in black valchromat, seamlessly integrating with terrazzo partitions and serving as a monumental backdrop for the living room.

Fusion of Form and Function

In the living room, a vibrant interplay of colors and textures takes center stage, anchored by the iconic Camaleonda sofa by B&B Italia and complemented by the whimsical Roly Poly armchair. Artisanal craftsmanship defines the custom-made kitchen, featuring clean lines, matte petrol green finishes, and unique terrazzo countertops.

Throughout the townhouse, elegant blue paneling wraps the space in a soothing embrace, balancing colorful accents and luxurious materials.
